The handle will lock when fully extended so that you can push or pull the suitcase. When fully recessed, the handle will also be locked, which greatly reduces the risk of damage when not in use and is easy to operate.
The TSA lock installed on the side only allows the TSA agent to check your luggage without damaging the lock while traveling. The zipper is not easy to be pierced by sharp tools (such as pens) to better protect the softside luggage and privacy.
